Ceramic glass is an aesthetically pleasing alternative for use in furniture pieces to the clear glass from which it is made. After painting one side of the sheet, first in the color desired and then with a final white layer of polyurethane, the newly painted glass goes into an oven where it is baked to extremely high temperatures. Next, the glass is rapidly super cooled, this tempering process guaranteeing that should the glass ever break, it will fall into small pieces like a car's windshield rather than shattering. As well as making the glass much safer, the heating process also ensures that the finished glass handles the heat of the outdoors more assuredly than clear glass.

Highly resistant to scratching, the colored backing has great aesthetic appeal. The solid colors of MAMAGREEN's ceramic glass - taupe, white, black - complement the glistening brilliance of stainless steel or the textured natural shades of teak. To clean and maintain this product, wipe it down with a damp cloth and non-abrasive commercial cleaner. With care glass retains its surface gloss for centuries.
