Manual Mode

Installing without WiFi option
The Heatscope Heater will be hardwired to your fuse box. To turn the appliance On or Off you will need to install an isolation switch (pictured). Required: 1 x Heatscope Heater / 1 x 2 gang switch (not included).

• This will allow you to control the heater via a permanent wall switch
  Each Heatscope unit will need it’s own Dual Isolation Switch; you cannot control multiple units from the same switch
• There will be no WiFi signal or smart device access with this type of installation

Wireless Mode

Installing with WiFi option
The Heatscope Heater will be hardwired to a ZigBee Dual WiFi Smart Switch, and this unit will be in line with your fuse box. Required: 1 x Heatscope Heater / 1x Dual WiFi Smart Switch (per heater) / WiFi connection / eWelink App (free download)

• Connect the heater to your WiFi network via the eWelink app
• On & Off Schedulling via eWelink app
• Control the heater output: 0%, 50% and 100%
• Control the heater using voice assistants
• This switch is 2.4GHz wifi compatible only
• Operate multiple heaters (1 smart WiFi switch per heater)

Wireless Mode + ZigBee Accessories

Installing with Wireless Switch or Motion Sensor
The Heatscope Heater will be hardwired to a ZigBee Dual WiFi Smart Switch, and this unit will be in line with your fuse box. Required: 1 x Heatscope Heater / 1x Dual WiFi Smart Switch (per heater) / 1x ZigBee Bridge / 1x ZigBee Wireless Switch (Remote Control) and/or ZigBee Motion Sensor / WiFi connection / eWelink App (free download)

• The Dual WiFi Smart Switch will connect the Heatscope heater to your WiFi network via the eWelink App.
• This will allow you to control the heater via a smart device (smartphone, tablet etc).
• Each smart device will need the eWelink App installed to be able to control the heater
• By adding the ZigBee Bridge, it will allow you to include additional accessories such as the Wireless Switch (Remote Control) and/or a Motion Sensor to control your Heatscope Heater
• The Wireless Switch is a freestanding unit that is very easy to operate (refer to page 2)
• The Motion Sensor will detect motion immediately and if no motion is detected for 150 seconds after becoming “active” it will send a “no motion detected” signal (refer to pg.2 )

Important Heatscope Notes

Heatscope appliances do NOT correctly work off of a single isolation switch or dimmer system, to ensure both elements can be operated independently a 2 gang switch is required. It is very important to inform your electrician there are “2 active switch lines” for the Heatscope units; this is unique to this type of heating appliance.

Zigbee Bridge

The ZigBee Bridge is needed on every Heatscope Heater if you wish to control the appliance via a ZigBee accessory such as a Wireless Switch or a Motion Sensor. A single ZigBee Bridge can connect up to 32x ZigBee accessories. It has a range of up to 80m away from the smart device and the Sonoff Dual WiFi Smart Switch. It requires a constant power supply via a USB-C, and it can be tucked away almost anywhere. Very important: you can group up to 32x Heatscope Heaters per bridge, but every heater needs its own Dual WiFi Smart Switch.

Zigbee Wireless Switch

This unit works as the remote control for your Heatscope Heater. A simple square design box with a single “clicker” button. You can set these actions via the eWelink application. This button has 3x functions:

• 1x click: 50% power – one carbon element is switched on
• 2x clicks: 100% power – two carbon elements are switched on
• 1x long press: turn the radiant heater off

ZigBee Motion Sensor

This component detects movement within 6m and 110 degrees viewing angle from your where your ZigBee Motion Sensor is mounted. It is battery operated and it should be placed in the same room where the Heatscope heater will be installed. It will detect motion immediately, and if no motion is detected for 150 seconds after becoming “active” it will send a “no motion detected” signal. This component has 2x functions:

• Motion Detected
• No Motion Detected

Important ZigBee Notes

Wireless Switch (remote control) and Motion Sensor require a ZigBee Bridge to operate. You can group up to 32x Heatscope Heaters per bridge controller, but every heater needs its own Dual WiFi Smart Switch.

Lift System

HEATSCOPE® offers its own unique solution for flush ceiling installation. A lift system moves the radiant heater out of the ceiling recess as soon as it is switched on. The heater is automatically retracted after a short cooling time. Lift Box and Frame: Add a box case and frame to complete the ceiling recess uniformly and beautifully.
